A Few Comments About Searches
Nowadays, we take searches for granted. We look at the search results without much thought about what it all means.
When we stop to take a closer look, it’s easy to understand that a good search engine can connect us to all sorts of information, past and present.
Depending on the search term (a word or phrase) we enter, the search results might provide us with anything from a new recipe to relationship advice.
Search results can tell us more about things like the history of space flight and the moon landing, especially for someone not old enough to remember when it was shown on the evening news.
The power of the Internet is amazing and we should be aware of all that it can do to help us explore the far corners of the world or someplace just a few miles away.
There is a lot of talk about identity theft and kiddie porn and Internet predators, and we need to be concerned about all of that and push for tougher legislation to deal with the offenders.
Like any tool, the Internet can be used for positive as well as negative purposes, depending on the person using the tool.
I just wanted to share a few thoughts about search engines and the awesome amount of information that search results can provide.
